Private Dog Training $150/Session

Hire a professional trainer to help you reach your training goals! When you contact Positive Outcomes for dog training, you will schedule an initial 1 hour behavior consultation session ($175) where you will discuss your dog’s history, behavior, and your training goals in detail. Trainer Mariah will use the information provided in this session to create a training, management, and enrichment plan for your dog that is tailored specifically to their needs. All subsequent sessions are $150 per hour, the recommended number of sessions will depend on your goals. 30 minute check-in sessions over Zoom are also available to established clients for $75.

Positive Outcomes offers in-home training sessions to clients within service range as well as virtual sessions for those located anywhere else! Mariah will coach you through how to set your dog up for success and teach them the behaviors in their training plan.

When working with Positive Outcomes Pet Training you will only be taught the most up-to-date, science-based training methods.

I can help with:

  • Foundation Behaviors: These are the building blocks of well behaved dogs: giving focus to the handler, learning to respond to cues, coming when called, following a hand target, and settling on a mat.

  • Manners: It’s never too late for an adult dog to learn polite manners! You absolutely can teach an old dog new tricks, however, if your dog has had years of practicing bad habits, it is well worth it to hire a professional to assist you with helping them turn a new leaf! I can teach your dog basic obedience like how to wait, stay, leave it, drop it, and to greet people politely.

  • Loose Leash Walking: Ready to enjoy peaceful walks with your dog? Contact me now if you would like your pup to learn how to walk by your side without constant pulling on the leash!

  • Trouble Shooting Problem Behaviors: Are you dealing with specific behavioral challenges like excessive barking, jumping, or resource guarding? I can help! After determining the need behind the behavior, we’ll teach your dog a new, more appropriate way of getting that need met.

  • Anxiety and Reactivity: Do you have a highly anxious dog who cowers in fear or barks and lunges at people or other dogs? These kinds of behavioral responses are often a result of past trauma or under socialization. I can teach you science based techniques like desensitization and counter conditioning to change your dog’s emotional responses and help regulate their nervous system.
