Private Puppy Training $150/Session

Hire a professional trainer to help you reach your training goals! When you contact Positive Outcomes for dog training, you will schedule an initial 1 hour behavior consultation session ($175) where you will discuss your puppy’s background, behavioral challenges, and your training goals in detail. Trainer Mariah will use the information provided in this session to create a training, management, and enrichment plan for your puppy that is tailored specifically to their needs. All subsequent sessions are $150 per hour, the recommended number of sessions will depend on your goals. 30 minute check-in sessions over Zoom are also available to established clients for $75.

Positive Outcomes offers in-home training sessions to clients within service range as well as virtual sessions for those located anywhere else! Mariah will coach you through how to set your puppy up for success through socialization and how to teach them the behaviors in their training plan.

When working with Positive Outcomes Pet Training you will only be taught the most up-to-date, science-based training methods.

I can help with:

  • Manners: Set yourself up for a future with a polite pooch by training your puppy early on in life. It’s always easier for your dog to learn good manners when they haven’t had months or years of rehearsing poor ones. I’ll teach your puppy how to stay, wait, drop it, and leave it, and I’ll help you address problem behaviors like mouthing, jumping, excessive barking, and more.

  • Foundation Behaviors: Giving focus to a handler, coming when called, following a hand target, and settling on a mat are foundation behaviors that more advanced training is built off of. Your life will be so much easier when your puppy knows the basics.

  • Socialization: A well socialized puppy is far less likely to grow into a dog with reactivity issues such as growling, barking, or lunging. Under socialized dogs often experience situational anxiety that leads to the presentation of these kinds of aggressive behaviors. We can ensure that your puppy is well socialized by creating as many positive experiences as possible with people, dogs, novel objects, places, and situations!

  • Potty Training: Cleaning up accidents day after day is no fun! I’ll help you house train your puppy with a combination of management and positive reinforcement techniques. I can help you save your carpets and your sanity, by teaching your puppy where they are supposed to do their business once and for all!

  • Chewing and Mouthing: Teething is a very normal part of a puppy’s development, however, it is important for them to learn what they are supposed to chew on (toys and chews) and what is off limits (your body, clothes, and furniture)!

  • Walking on the Leash: Let’s make sure your puppy understands that pulling is a no-go before they get big and strong! Train your puppy loose leash walking skills now so that you can enjoy your walks from puppyhood all the way to seniorhood!
